This webpage sets out the security information of the electronic services (“e-Services”) offered by Anuenue Securities Limited ("the Company"). e-Services refers to services delivered over the internet, wireless network, or other electronic network, terminals or devices, including but not limited to the Company’s Internet/mobile phone trading, subscription of IPO shares or funds, and fund transfers etc.

IMPORTANT: By accessing any of the Websites or any of their pages, you agree to be bound by, and acknowledge and confirm, the terms set out below and the terms and conditions governing the access to and use of such service.

Due to traffic congestion, system status and other reasons, the Internet is an inherently unreliable medium of communication and that such unreliability is beyond the control of Anuenue Securities Limited (“ASL”). There may also be delays, interruption, deficiencies, incompatibilities or outages in our Internet Trading Platform (“Platform”) due to system upgrades or changes or other causes. Further, there are risks of interception, interference, or transmission interruption as well as errors in Internet communications. As a result, there may be failure, delays or errors in the transmission or receipt of your instructions which may result in failure, delays or errors in the execution of your instructions and/or the execution of instructions at prices different from those prevailing at the time you give the instructions. You may not be possible to cancel or amend an instruction after it has been given. ASL shall not be responsible in any manner for any direct, indirect, special or consequential losses in connection with any loss howsoever incurred as a result. In the event of any Internet system irregularities, delays or outages, you may contact your designated Account Executive to arrange for placing of your orders through other means, or contact our Customer Service for assistance.

Our Platform and the software comprised in it are proprietary to ASL and/or third party provider(s). You agree and undertake that you would not, and would not attempt to, tamper with, modify, decompile, reverse engineer or otherwise alter in any way, and would not attempt to gain unauthorized access to, any part of our Platform and the software comprised in it. ASL and/or other parties own the trade names, trademarks, service marks and logos and the like displayed on the Platform and none of them should be used unless with the prior written consent of ASL and/or the party(ies) owning the same. ASL would not be responsible for prices, information, news and data regarding securities, financial products, issuers and economics being provided by third party and does not guarantee the timeliness, accuracy, completeness, validity or reliability of such information and shall not be responsible for any losses howsoever suffered by you as a result of using or relying on such information. All quotes or quotations available on the Platform do not constitute any commitment on the part of ASL.

Your access to or use of any other websites linked to the Platform ("third-party websites") is at your own risk. ASL is not responsible for any matter related to the third-party websites (including, without limitation, the contents or the set-up thereof). Your access to and/or use of any of the third-party websites shall be governed by the terms and conditions (including, without limitation, such website's privacy statement) of the owner/provider of such website and you must comply with such terms and conditions. Notwithstanding the provision of the hyperlinks to the third-party websites, ASL does not endorse, approve, guarantee or recommend any third party, any of the third-party websites or any product or service on the same and accepts no liability in connection with or arising out of any of the third-party websites. Any software and/or information required for the use of any part of the Platform may be governed by a license agreement and you must comply with the terms and conditions of it. ASL does not accept any liability whatsoever as a result of your downloading or using, in any other way, such software and/or information.

ASL shall have no duty or obligation to verify, correct, complete or update any information displayed in the Platform. You will make your own independent decision to access or use the Platform or to execute any transaction and you acknowledge and agree that the Platform does not and will not serve as the primary basis for any of your investment decisions. The prices of securities fluctuate, sometimes dramatically and may become valueless. You should make your own appraisal of the risk and should consult to the extent necessary your own legal, tax, financial or other professional advisors prior to entering into any transaction. You shall use all such data, information and real-time quotes for your personal use and reference only, and these must not to be reproduced, duplicated, sub-listed or transmitted or used for commercial purposes, and you shall not furnish such data to any other person or entity for any reason.

You acknowledge and agree that you would be solely responsible for all instructions entered through the Platform. You would be the only user of the Platform under the Account and responsible for the confidentiality and use of the Access Code and agree to undertake:

  1. not to disclose any Access Code to any third party;
  2. not to write down or record any Access Code in a way that could facilitate misuse or fraud; and
  3. to immediately report any loss, unauthorized disclosure or misuse of your Access Code to ASL.
  4. please provide accurate personal information in order to bind the Anuenue Authenticator with your account. If there are any changes in your personal information, you must update them on time. ASL does not assume any responsibility for any service unavailability resulting from inaccurate information submitted by you. ASL reasonably assumes that the Anuenue Authenticator is owned by your binding account, after receiving your account and password information and binding your account to the Anuenue Authenticator. If other users or third parties believe that the account binding is invalid or infringes their rights, their relevant authorities should notify ASL immediately. Otherwise, ASL reserves the right not to take any action on the binding account;
  5. you should keep the Anuenue Authenticator in good condition, and you will be responsible for any losses caused by the password disclosure and the loss of the Anuenue Authenticator;
  6. ASL reserves the right to report to the relevant authorities on anyone forging an Anuenue Authenticator or fraudulently used other users’ names for illegal activities.

Clients should be responsible to take reasonable steps to keep any device or secret code (password) used for accessing e-services secure and secret, including but not limited to:

  1. destroy the original printed copy of the secret code;
  2. not to allow anyone else to use their secret code;
  3. never write down the secret code on any device for accessing e-services or on anything usually kept or near it; and
  4. not to write down or record the secret code without disguising it.

You acknowledge and agree that, as a condition of using the Platform to give Instructions, you would immediately notify ASL if:

  1. immediately after an Instruction in respect of the Account has been placed through the Platform, you have not received an order reference number and an accurate acknowledgement of the instruction or of its execution (whether by hard copy, electronic or verbal means);
  2. you have received acknowledgement (whether by hard copy, electronic or verbal means) of a transaction which you did not instruct or if any similar conflict arises; or
  3. you become aware of any unauthorized use of the User ID, Password or PIN.

if a client acts fraudulently or with gross negligence such as failing to properly safeguard his/her device or secret code for accessing the e-services, he/she will be responsible for any direct loss suffered by him/her as a result of unauthorized transactions conducted through his account.

Clients will be liable for all losses if clients have acted fraudulently. Clients may also be held liable for all losses if clients have acted with gross negligence (this may include cases where clients knowingly allow the use of others of their device or secret codes or devices for accessing the e-banking services have been compromised, lost or stolen, or that unathorized transactions have been conducted over their accounts. This may apply if clients fail to follow the safeguards set out above if such failure has cuased the losses.

Clients are reminded to stay vigilant to anything abnormal when logging into e-services (e.g. unusual pop-up screens, unusually slow browser response, multiple requests for password input etc.)

Clients should keep their personal information secure. The Company will not require client's user name, password, one-time password or other account details by email, SMS or phone.

Avoid accessing our company website from public/shared computers such as those in cyber cafes. Public/shared computers have high risk of being infected with malicious software which could record your account number, password and other personal information.

Change your login password regularly. Do not use easy to guess combinations when choosing a password.

Regularly log in to your account to verify your balances and transactions. Report any unusual activity to us immediately.

Ensure that your computer and browser are up-to-date with latest security patches. Whenever possible, use the latest version of your favorite browser.

Install anti-virus and a personal firewall on your computer to protect yourselves from spyware, Trojan horses and hacking.
